Dan Crenshaw, the newly elected Texas congressman, an injured war veteran, and former Navy SEAL (made famous last year when Pete Davidson from Saturday Night Live mocked his eyepatch), wants to know if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is ready to have a serious discussion about border security.
After the contentious meeting on Wednesday at the White House between President Donald Trump and congressional Democrat leaders, Crenshaw shared the question to social media.
During the meeting Pelosi reportedly kept going on about tunnels. According to her, the president’s desired southern U.S. border wall would be useless because illegal immigrants could just tunnel underneath.
Per source in the room: Pelosi talked a lot about tunnels. She kept saying that a wall won't stop people coming through tunnels.

Except that it takes far more time, money and resources to construct a tunnel than it does to simply sidle across the border, as noted by Crenshaw who didn’t mince words and mocked Pelosi’s weak argument into oblivion.
Ah yes, the tunnel myth. Because it’s so easy to build tunnels. No one would ever notice. Might as well just do nothing, now that the tunneling option has been exposed.
Can we have a serious conversation now? That’d be great. https://t.co/16RDlBQoVm

A “serious” discussion would be nice instead of the condescending tone coming from Pelosi who apparently believes Americans are fools.
Crenshaw also blasted Pelosi and Dems on Fox News’ Hannity, saying he’d like to see them climb over a wall or through a tunnel:
Rep. Dan Crenshaw: I learned as a Navy Seal walls are effective. I'd like to see Pelosi and Dems who say it won't work try to climb over it or tunnel under. pic.twitter.com/Zt5llQGXze

Meanwhile, Twitter had a blast, mocking Pelosi for her failed logic.
Brilliant logic @SpeakerPelosi . While you're at it, let's remove speed limits, legalize murder, rape and drug dealers since people still commit these crimes. Might as well just open these 'borders' too! https://t.co/3iYtSiYruQ

.This is like saying banks shouldn't put money in safes because people will learn to be safe-crackers.

By this logic, we should not have TSA screening at airports because terrorists will just try to find a way around it…

Great Nancy. Now apply same logic to guns.
